What is 3D Rendering?
3D rendering is a process whereby an image is produced based on three dimension object stored within a computer. Rendering is usually the final process of creating a 3D model from the prepared model. 3D rendering can be intended to be an abstract or as realistic as a photograph. However an animator needs to create scenes before rendering an object. rendering is used in video games, architecture, simulators and movie special effects.
There are several rendering methods that are used in 3D model rendering. Real time rendering is a method of rendering for interactive media like games and is calculated and displayed at rates of approximately 20 to 120 frames per second. the main objective of real time rendering is to show as much information as possible as the eye can process in a one frame. Real time rendering if usually polygonal and is aided by a computer graphics processing unit.
Another type of 3D modeling rendering is the non real time rendering. This method is used for non interactive media such as films and videos. This type of rendering enables the influencing of limited processing power in order to attain higher image quality. This rendering method is very slow and sometimes it can take days to completely render all frames even on faster computers. The rendered frames are stored in a computer and can later be transferred to storage media. The frames are then displayed at high frame rates approximately 30 frames per second to achieve illusion of progress.
3D rendering is not expensive given the compound variety of physical process being simulated. Over the years 3D rendering has been redeveloped to increase complexity of scenes. Three Dimension rendering allows you to stimulate your creativity with motion, depth and animation. However, a 3D rendering artist must control all features of a scene such as texture, lighting, right angles and detailed model to produce a realistic and perfect models.
